Romans 8:26-27
In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
Thank you Jesus for Prayer meeting tonight.

( I snuck this photo off Mya's grandma's facebook page...LOVE IT!)
So Jacob's greeting of late has been "Hey Babe". When Marand comes home from work, he gets an exuberant "hey babe!" I have tried to stress that "your dad is MY babe, he's your DAD" to no avail. Well things came to a culmination this morning when I had to interpret for Tia what Jacob was telling her in the nursery. He was saying "Mya's a babe" I assured her it was a just a term of endearment around our house these days, although she is one of the cutest girls we know ;)
Thank you God for our IN DEPENDENCE day. Apart from you I can do nothing.
Happy 4th of July!
We had a great mom's group here today. What a gift to fellowship with sisters in Christ! Thank you God for the backyard full of free, or gifted to us, toys! We are getting good use out of them. The sandbox got the prize today I think :)Thank you God for a noon pet sit. It looks like my personal assisting job is done, about as soon as it started...my time is worth too much ;) Thank you Jesus for your leading in my life, for peace in each step.
I've been reading about the prophet Elijah in I Kings and I love the reminder that
"he went and did according to the word of the LORD....ravens brought him bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook."
God is so good and he leads us while providing in miraculous ways!
"And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain."
Now what God? God's examples in Scripture rarely show us God providing in abundance when we already have abundance. Elijah waited on the LORD's voice, God didn't direct him elsewhere until the brook was completely dried up. Can't you imagine what Elijah was thinking? I know what I'd be thinking! But the word of the Lord's provision came to him at just the right time. Not too soon, and not a moment too late.
"Then the word of the LORD came to him, saying, 'Arise go to Zarephath....and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.' So he arose and went....."
Elijah waited. He trusted even when he couldn't see. Thank you God for letting the brook dry up, so I'll wait on you, so I'll trust you more.
and thank you God for Lego magazines in the mail.
