Romans 5:1-4

The verses in my pocket.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.

And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;

We got a report from Donna on Pastor Bruce today: The blockage seems to be moving on it's own, Praise the Lord! He is feeling and looking much better. The transplant doctor should give word today or tomorrow on if the transplant is a go. Maybe surgery next week???? Thank you for your prayers. Thank you God for the character of Jesus that shines through my pastor.

Four days of VBS down, one to go! Lots of cleaning and pet sitting, and climbing a 14 'er on Saturday Lord willing. What a life lived more abundantly!

VBS!

Jacob had a ball dropping waterballoons!

Getting wet on a hot day feels good!

And we dance and sing for Jesus!

We Covet Your Prayers

This is a note from our pastor Bruce's wife Donna:

We want to thank everyone for their continued prayers for Bruce...we continue to struggle with health complications. Sunday evening we took another trip to the ER because he was having extreme lower stomach pain.  About 3:00 AM they admitted to the hospital after he was diagnosed with an intestinal blockage.

This is not really related to the liver PSC problems...the doctor said it can be caused by previous surgeries and scar tissue which builds up and blocks the "pipes."

We appreciate prayers that the "pipes" would clear up and that the passage would not be blocked anymore. If the blockage continues Bruce may be sent to Denver for surgery to take care of the problem. He has been chewing ice chips all day because he is not able to eat so that he can give his intestines a rest. He also has been on pain meds most of the day and so he sleeps most of the time.  He is not allowed to have visitors for a few more days.  Thank you for thinking of us and praying as we rest quietly.

We are praying for Thursday and Friday as the liver transplant team meets...that God will give wisdom and insight.  We are hopeful and trusting as God knows the "plans He has for us."  Jer 29:11

We appreciate the hundreds that are praying for this crucial time in Bruce's life.

We love you all dearly,

Donna

We also called, a new associate pastor and family to assist in our ministry, and they accepted. Derek and June and their kids are a God send at a God time. Thank you Jesus for your perfect ways, and the amazing plans you have for us. I rest and trust in you alone for living a confident and effective christian life, whatever comes my way. You are in control, and are so good, all the time.

VBS!

Thank you God for Vacation Bible School. Jacob and I are manning the nursery again this year, Hooray for Jesus! and snacks in the sunshine!

Saturday

I'm tired tonight. This whole potty training stuff is not for the faint at heart! We've had a bout of soft stools (I think from all the fresh snow peas from the farmers market :) and we just can't seem to get to the potty in time. Jacob has 4 stickers on his "I made poopers in the potty" chart with only 6 to go before we go to get ice cream!! But the motivation has seemingly left. Kids do figure this out right? I know, what you are thinking, he's still young...he'll get it, but I just can't seem to get the smell of poop out of my nose. Thank you Father for a washing machine and for antibacterial hand soap!

Thank you God for Friday night Fondue, and kids growing up. For Saturday and friend-sitting this morning, for pet-sitting this afternoon, for the thrift store bonus day, and for legos with dad. He sure has a way of building cool stuff.
