Goodnight Moon

Seriously, I can't believe that book is so popular!

I could have written that!

Oh, well, It makes a great title for this post :)

Goodnight family and friends everywhere!

A Great Day!

Super evening, night and breakfast with my very favorite Virginia family! They are off to explore national monuments - Hooray for family vacations crammed in a mini van! We'll see them again the weekend of the 1st at Mom and Don's.

And....Splash Water Park Mom's Group!

Super fun that Carla, Ben, Ian and Kate came too!!

Lord Jesus, to you we lift our heads in praise and utter adoration. Thank you!

Summer is Super

Summer time in Colorado is pretty much super. We are loving it. This week and the next few to follow are on the docket to be especially super. My sister and family  should be on the road as we speak (please pray for their safe travels from VA) and they plan to stop here tomorow afternoon on their way to Utah! HOORAY! they will be off again Thursday morning (we are headed to the water park in Golden...hint, hint, Ft collins family!!) and then we'll meet up again the following weekend at Mom and Don's house! HOORAY! Then, if that isn't super enough, Uncle Byron and Aunt Suzy and Company will be here the following week! HOORAY! We can't wait to see you all, and share our wonderful COLORADO summertime with you!

And what a great "Taco night" we had with The Lemmes and the Bests! Last night. Cory and Tonya were the youth pastors at our church 6 years ago, and have since moved and are ministering in Switzerland. They have recently adopted their youngest kid-o. We love them. We love the Lemmes too.Thank you Jesus for the hope of heaven where we will live eternally with you and all the other amazing people you have adopted into your family!

Oh, and on a side note: Monica's job at bananna republic never panned out....she is at an interview with Guess this afternoon. Thank you God, for your perfect timing, and your perfect life lessons. Life is full of ups and downs ;) Especially when you are 18 years old.

Quandary With Monica and 7 years!

Marand and I celebrated 7 years yesterday. He took me out to lunch and cooked burgers on the grill for us! Just because we had a great time with our church family at the annual church picnic, and he helped cook burgers for approximately 100 other people, is beside the point ;) And the fact that I was super ready for a nap after this hike on Sat, kinda put a damper on my energy level, but none the less, We had a great day of "celebrating love", and are so thankful to God for each other. Apart from Him we can do nothing!

We parked the car down below the dam.

I stretched my sweet niece with this one ;) Not an easy hike...but

SO WORTH IT!

The view on the way up

There's the top....we can do it!!

Almost there!

This is our fearless leader Doug, routing our course, and Monica reminding herself that she loves her Aunt Rachel ;)

AKA the FUN PART!!!

And seeing this was super cool!!

The flowers were so pretty.

"He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock.."

Oh, yea, and Square Dancing ;)

Update On Pastor Bruce

Yeah!!! I have good news...the Drano (your prayers) worked and the pipes are clear.
It looks like he will be coming home in a few hours.
The doctor believes that his colon went dormant for several days and they had to wake it up..thankfully, it happened last night.
The nursing staff told us that if he wasn't better today that he would have been looking at an ambulance ride to the University Hospital in Denver (per his liver doctor). Thanks be to God for his impeccable timing.
We are so grateful for your prayers and concern on our behalf...everyone has been so kind. We have the best friends and family in the world!
Today is another big day as the liver transplant team will be meeting and they will be making some decisions about the transplant. Please keep praying for Bruce and the donor as they will be expecting some news about this.
We are trusting and hopeful that it will be soon.
Much love,
Donna

We had a great last day at VBS, and are looking forward to a pot-luck, square dancing time with some of the "seasoned" residents of our church tonight....I think it must be close to our anniversary or something, Marand didn't even put up a fight or shed a tear, when I asked if we could go ;) I think secretively, way down deep, his soul really wants to DANCE!!! I know mine does ;)
