Monday Comes and Goes

Jacob, make a funny face! This is what I get :)
He's been loving his book on CD recently. Blue's Clues is loosing it's luster. He's doing great with his talking, and learning. Still working on the pottying consistancy. He reminds me that we need to read the Bible after breakfast because "it's important", and I remind him we need to say our Bible verses because it's God's Word in our hearts. We just keep walking. Monday to Monday :)
We are so blessed.
I'm thanking God today that He is in charge. I know I try His patience like a two year old at times. I argue, I whine, I complain, yet He loves me tenderly, and gently helps me to see that there is a better way to be. I choose. I choose to agree. I choose to talk nicely. I choose to be thankful. The battle starts early in the day, the demand for my heart, soul, mind, and strength, the day ends with a recounting, a searching. Can I do better tomorrow? I will choose, and do my best to help teach others to choose as well.
Thanks for Praying

"Let's read....o.k.?"
Posted on 27. Aug, 2010 by RachelWell, I'm past the point of saying things to Jacob that he won't say back to me in turn....I often say "excuse me Mister" when he's up to something he shouldn't be up to....
Jacob likes to read with his dad in bed while I get ready in the mornings, and this morning it was just too cute to resist a photo. So I took one without them noticing, and was very quickly informed that it did not go unnoticed with a little eye under the book saying "excuse me mamma" after the three of us had a good laugh, I was gentle reminded that this little man is growing up way too fast :)
Solomon was the Wise one....
Posted on 27. Aug, 2010 by RachelBut His Daddy David had some good advice to share also! Knowing that his wisdom came from the "school of hard knocks" opens my eyes to it's value as well :)
I Chronicles 28:9
"As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever. Consider now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it."
