I forgot to post the best photo, I'm not a night person.....and that was entirely too late for me :) We had a great day with Mya today, now I'm off to spackle the office. Marand's been working tirelessly all day, and it's almost ready for paint tomorrow - Another painting party....any body want to come??
The challenge is getting that last drop of deliciousness out of the bottom of the cup :)
We send our love to you all!
Or as Jacob would say..."snoovies!" I was so blessed to buy lots of mangos for a super reasonable cost last week, so needless to say we've been in smoothie heaven :) Thank you God for fresh fruit that freezes well, and for family and friends to share them with.
the office is Marand's new project, Jacob is loving the opportunity to don his boots in the house, and wear his tool belt. The wains coat left over from a job will be super snazzy in a "man space" :) I've got before photos, I'll keep you posted on the after photos.
Hooray for friends as well! Monka, Aunt Vicki and I had a good time with "Ladies night + Jacob" tonight....with homemade pizza, hot tub under the full moon, and movie. Marand was at a deacon's meeting.
Miss Mya is coming tomorrow for a play day! We are super excited for that. Jacob can't wait to show her his "puzzle" (the one you gave him for Christmas Mom and Don) and I'm truly impressed with how well he does it! He's talking up a storm, and just growing way too fast! I love the way he says "mookak" for music :) O.k. It's late. I'm sleepy...may God's peace be on my family, close and extended this night. Our God is great, and He alone is to be served.
These are to go along with the story I told you under the heading "Sayings and Treks"....This being my second time out walking with my boys, I was much more confident and took the camera :) The visor cap Jacob is wearing is kinda big....but it keeps the blazing sun out of his eyes beautifully! Ingenious idea to put a bill on a stocking cap! The photos don't look sunny, but that is because we were in the shade of the house ;)
Monica told a little boy at baby-sitting this morning that "Jacob went to sign up for a new brother or sister" :)
We had a fine trip to Idaho Springs and back today. Thank you God for wonderful weather! We return with quite a task ahead of us. Hooray for "been there done that!"
We even made it back in time for a walk around the neighborhood....quite a picture (my hands were quite full, I didn't take one, maybe next time) me with my moon boots, hat and gloves holding two leashes in one hand and the rope pulling the sled in the other. Jacob in his camo coat and hat straddling the sled seat (looks like a low-rider motorcycle ;) with multicolored mittens barely staying on as he gripped the steering wheel of the sled ...Wonder and Crackers the two Yorkie dogs that have been living with us for a week on retractable leashes going nuts to be out in the sunshine! I actually laughed out loud at the scene a few times as I stepped over and tried not to trip on leashes or get run over by a laughing boy on a sled...I'm pleased to report that all 4 of us had a ball! Thank you God for snow covered streets and blazing sunshine!
Hooray for snow!
Tomorrow, Jacob and I are off to Idaho Springs to talk to Amy our adoption counselor and pick up our "stack" of paperwork.
Oh, God, Your will, not ours. Your children, not ours. Your timing not ours.
