Whew.... I normally don't post but I figured that a special occasion such as this warranted a miracle.
Hiking up through the rugged wilderness carrying a child on my back. (Notice, Tina, moseying along carrying nothing).
Dad cutting down the tree. Tina "pulling" to bring it down. Dad finally got tired of waiting for the big "pull" and leaned over to push it down himself. Hmmm....
Miles (or so) into the rugged wilderness dragging a 12 foot Christmas tree. Tina was enjoying her "helpful" steering position. Whew... I almost broke a sweat just talking about it.
Tina here with Shaun, looking all lively and fresh. Getting the tree into the truck was pretty easy since I had a plethora of great ideas to help ease our burden.
This pic was after loading the tree into the truck, Do you notice any needles or sap on Tina? I don't.
Just had to throw in a cute picture of the little man with Nanna and Pappa so that everyone would keep reading along.
Well, ok... Even though there is no evidence to prove it, Tina pretty much drug the tree out of the wilderness (I don't think it was that rugged) all by her self. And I MAY have BORROWED one or two of Tina's great ideas that day.
All in all we had a great time with our Aunt W..... Tina and Uncle Shaun. Thanks for coming to visit us and for all the cool presents.
We love you.
Marand
Pretty hard to believe that it's come and gone already! What a fun time we had at Randy and Lynann's new house with two of Marand's siblings : Tina and Shaun. Loads of turkey and all the fixins' for quite a few meals now :) All praise and glory to our Awesome God who plentifully provides above and beyond all we need. Another painting party tonight....green for the living room. all of the big furniture is in and placed, as well as most boxes unpacked and situated. Hooray! a few more trips to the condo for little things, and then the finally of the fish tank :) We may need prayer for that part ;) Anywoo.....just wanted to post a little, Internet should be started here on Wednesday so I'll post all the Thanksgiving photos and the painting/moving photos. Jacob is doing surprisingly well with all this commotion :) I think he is enjoying all the "running" room! He is getting so verbal these days, he repeats almost every word you say and does great with some on his own as well....I"ll have to video some of it. Hope all your thanksgivings were enjoyable days with family. I can't wait for Christmas at Mamma's House!!!!
I can't type long...it's 11:32pm and I'm sleepy. We are packing/ moving lots of stuff. Carpets were cleaned today in the new house, we've got some accent colors of painting to do, lots of cleaning, purging, keeping a little man from umpacking everything I just packed.....shew, this moving stuff is hard work :) Can't wait to be back to "normal " :)
Well, I just called to have the Internet switched over, this should be our last post from our loved condo :) Hard to believe we bought it 8 years ago! Our God is so faithful.
We are taking a painting break tonight, boy was I wishing that Jacob's Grandpa Dave was here to help out last night as I was painting ceilings :) I prayed for more work for him in FL. It is looking good though....we are headed down the stairs soon, and will be thinking about having carpets cleaned in the next few days (the main floor is hard wood). We've been sleeping there since Monday. Well, I'm off, hope you enjoy the haircut photos :) Love to you all! Monica said she'd give up her room if we have any visitors come :) Break out your sleds and skis and Come see us!
so sorry....no such luck on the photos :( :( It's ready to go, but with the "upgrade" I got from my husband, I can't make it upload anymore :( The suspense is killing you huh??? Soon. I promise :)
We survived painting day number one! Hooray! Our SUPER FRIENDS all get gold stars for being SUPER. Aunt Vicki, Stephanie, Tracy (and Sam and Kaleb ;) and Monica, helped with a big day of masking off just about an entire house. We got the first coat on the master bedroom and Jacob's room, including the ceilings! So we are excited to get back to it after a good nights sleep and a worshipful Sunday. Thank you Lord, for health and strength, for a new house to paint and for friends to help and fellowship with along the way. May this house be a place of hospitable rest for all who you send across our doorstep. All Praise and Glory to our God!
Of course I've got photos to post at a later time :) of the painting....as well as Jacob's first "official" hair cut at a real, old timey, man's kind of barber shop. He loved all the attention, the helium balloon he got, and Mya's dad Scott did a great job, he looks like a "little man" for sure :)
Romans 1:16-17
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written,
"BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."
