Hooray for Family and Fall!
Submitted by Rachel on Wed, 09/30/2009 - 20:40We had a nice dinner in Leadville with some of our family last night. Pastor McLucus and Jan along with some of his fishing buddies invited Mom and Don and Kev and Mary and the kids to join them. We got to go and join the party for just a short dinner, but it was great fun. We even got ice cream after a walk down main street. We praise God for our family.
Very pretty 1/2 hour/45 min drive to leadville.

Battle Scars and a New Chair
Submitted by Rachel on Sun, 09/27/2009 - 22:15We had a super-duper time at the Thrift Store Friday and Saturday...but I'm thinking that Monica over-did herself a bit on Friday, this is a photo of her ankle that night...Sorry, it's a touch yucky looking....
Pretty bad huh?? She is much, much better today...even wore heals to church. Thank you LORD for bodies that heal!
Now, on to the "new chair" part....Jacob is in a phase of loving to sit anywhere and everywhere that is "just his size" Monica and I found this at the T-store...What fun!
You should hear the music and sounds it makes....SUPER CUTE. For the past few days Jacob has gone to it first thing when we got home and sat down for a "rest", to read the book, play with the clock, and turn the lamp on and off :)
Marand is not feeling super good, and is grateful today was the last day of the parade...Hooray! Monica went to a youth conference with Jeffrey Dean as the speaker, he also spoke at our Women's Resource Center fund raiser Saturday - he was very informative and encouraging....and I lead an acapella night of music at our church tonight.
We are praising God this day for our Church family, for work, bodies that heal,
special speakers, and music! Hope this finds all our family and friends well and rejoicing in JESUS!
Thunder Snow!
Submitted by Rachel on Fri, 09/25/2009 - 08:07Different weather up in the mountains these days....it is thundering like there is no tomorrow, and snowing! That doesn't happen too often here, it's pretty cool. We are off to the thrift store today and tomorrow, we'll see if the weather keeps the customers away, I'm sure we'll get some shopping in none the less ;) Monica worked hard yesterday on her school work, so she could come with us....amazing how much shopping can be a motivator, especially for "warm" clothes...since we live in the arctic :)

Submitted by Rachel on Thu, 09/24/2009 - 10:32I realize this is kind of unfair, but we'd love to have your vote! I know that most of you didn't get to see the house, or the competition....but take my word for it, it is a beauty!
We have a stay home and do laundry day going on today ;) Monica is nursing a pretty badly sprained (I hope that is all it is) ankle from playing soccer at youth group last night. Oh, for the energy of a high-school-er!
