Little Helper
Submitted by Rachel on Mon, 08/31/2009 - 23:37Jacob has been all about "helping" these days, especially with the dishes :) I found this step stool at a yard sale and he has latched onto it. It's not the safest thing in the world, for little guys, but he does well with it. It is well-built and super sturdy, which I like. I just have to be there when he decides to get down ;) I think I stood at the sink with him, at different times, for at least 2 hours total today. I"m gonna remind him of his past willingness to help out with the dishes when he is a teenager.
It was a "smokey" day in the county today...we are apparently seeing the results of some pretty substantial forest fires a ways away from us. We had a good day outside none the less :) Tomorrow it's off to the Thrift Store. Hooray for life "more abundantly".

Fun Things To Do

Playing with flashlights in the dark after supper....
Putting on clothes that are too big....
and being a super hero...all things that are great fun to do :)

Fun With Friends

She's got a pretty cute "wounded army" crawl going on these days and Jacob was just anxious to help her put each and every toy in her mouth :) He's also got this "yell" that comes out of nowhere, it makes her jump clean out of her skin...not to mention what it does to his momma! Silly boy. Where do they come up with these things?
and get this: Marand woke up at 6:30 this morning to go running with Mya's dad Scott!! Crazy huh? First the bikes, now running....I think Marand may be hitting his "30" life crisis ;)
We are just cleaning house and enjoying the beautiful day today...Praise God for life in the mountains!
Spatula!
Submitted by Rachel on Tue, 08/25/2009 - 21:53Jacob is still very fond of spatulas. It's a hoot! Ever since that first encounter with one at his Birth Aunt Kellie's house (Katie's play kitchen) He's been hooked. It will be fun to see how long it lasts...I'm hoping for gourmet chef!
Jacob has been dorooling on/working on his last tooth #16 on the bottom, before we start looking for his 4 two year molars...any guesses on when he'll get those? :)
Marand is still working on a way to get my big camping slide show to upload...that is yet to come.
