Yesterday My Becky turned 29 (again ;) She is 11 years older than me...so that makes me what?...18...that sounds a little young, but hey, if you are buying it - so be it ;) Naw, Happy Birthday Yesterday My Beak...I love you like a sister, oh, wait, you are my sister!!! My very favorite one in all the world :) Thanks for being so SUPER!

Jacob and I have had a full day already. Church cleaning, meeting to work on music for Sunday, the bank (Jacob's first savings account - we have to have somewhere to stash all this birthday cash ;) the post office, lunch with Aunt Vicki, and now nap time. AND THE PEOPLE REJOICE!
1 Peter 4:1-2
"Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God."
Thanks so much to all of you who so thoughtfully loved on Jacob for his first birthday! We are so blessed to have you all, and to be able to call you family. We just had to share the card from Great Grandparents Lynn and Sue (Lynann's parents) who get the "big hit" award....Notice the bruise and scratch on Jacob's head at the end (two separate occasions), we are truly into the injury faze of learning to walk :)
We are praising God this day for his faithfulness, for pet-sit jobs, and sunshine!
What are you praising God for?
Our Adventure day with Jacob's birth family in Estes Park yesterday was Super Fun! I thoroughly enjoyed the views on my drive there and back. Today, we stay put ;)
I take decent photos out of my windshield huh??
I know, I know, I couldn't stop...Jacob was sleeping, and I didn't want to wake him up!
This is Long's Peak one of Colorado's 14,000 footer's..It may be calling my name ;)
Marand thinks it would be cool to build our house like this church.
Do you hear it? I think I do :) I''m gonna have to see if Mr. Doug (my expert mountain climbing buddy) would like to plan this into his summer hikes...
I also had to travel this way to make it to the town of Nederland. Seriously, a frozen dead guy...how interesting is that?? Here is a song telling the story..
Adventures, got to love them!

Estes Park is a pretty place!
We've been enjoying the bing cherry season around our house, now if I can just teach Jacob that "spitting" out imaginary cherry seeds all day long isn't the best thing for a little man to be doing. He does good on Marand's lap, pretending to spit out the seeds on his plate (just like dad does)...but it carries on through the day. He had us laughing pretty good during our "family prayer" before bed last night, he was walking around the crib making spitting noises at every corner. Staying focused on praying and not laughing was a challenge.
Boys are naughty.
He makes his daddy proud ;)
Mya came to play with us today. What fun we had with Jacob's diner!
Our little "toy nook" under the stairs is working out nicely as well ;)
Lean to the Left!
Jacob didn't want to share his books. (This photo is for all of you out there who think I only put "sweet" photos of Jacob on this website ;)
Hooray for Grandmas and Grandpas!
I also did the unthinkable this week...I joined the masses on facebook. Really it was just so our friends could come visit our website...none the less, I caved.
I'm still holding out on the cell phone though :)
Thanks Birth Great Grandma and Grandpa for the "Super" jammies :)
The pants are still too big to stay on (we started with them...but lost them before long ;) We appreciate your thoughtfulness!
