Family Camping
Hooray for Uncle Shaun visiting! It has been a while since he's had a photo with his nephew :)
We had a great day today at the thrift store. I dropped the profiles in the mail, and breathed a sigh of relief. Now it's on to Mom's group tomorrow and prepping for camping Friday-Sunday with our super great family!! I'm liking that this is becoming an annual thing. It's needed.
So, I'm fishing for some comments here (hint, hint ;) What are your camping "essentials" ? Anything I don't bring that I should? Any great memory makers I need to make sure to have along? ( We do bring an ax. That was a pretty memorable camping trip for the Miller family huh, Jacob is not quite as old as Mike was....:)
Help me out here.

Have fun! Some of the best memories we have with the kids when they were little was of camping! I always brought a wildflower or plant id book with me because I am a little neurotic that way of wanting to know what every last thing is called, LOL. Love Birth Grandma
definitely take a roll of toilet paper and a bottle of hand sanitizer (wet wipe kind of leave a fllmy feeling. stay away from open flames for a few mins afterwards though, seriously). dice are always good since you don't need a lot of room, they don't take up a lot of room, and it doesn't matter if it's windy. spend the extra buck and get a bug spray with more deet (like Deep Woods. i also use it to spray the outside of my tent after i set it up, especially around the door, to keep the invading bugs to a minimum), it's worth it. take a smaller knife for making hot dog/marshmellow sticks. i know i always enjoyed finding and sharpening my own. tarp for under your tent. tweezers for ticks, usually come in the simple outdoors first aid kits anyway. rope and a tarp. thats pretty much the essentials i take. as for great memory maker, you should take a ridiculous hat or shirt for the "loser" to wear when playing games. it's good for a laugh. gotta go to softball practice. i'll try to think up some more stuff for you :)
Ooooo, good advice :) Thanks Aunt Tina. I'm right there with you on the bug spray!! Wish you were here to go with us!
